Let us share some useful hints with you here, to prepare for your travel and stay at the 5th IEEE CogInfoCom 2014 Conference.

Travelling to Vietri sul Mare


Travelling to Vieri sul Mare is definitely a challenge for international visitors: protected under UNESCO's World Heritage Program, this southern coast of Italy has the closest international airport in Naples (about 50 km in distance from the small towns of the Amalfi Coastline). It is a challenge that is worth to take! The first stept that the visitor can be suggested to take is to fly in to Naples. There are several international connections, flight schedules and airfares can be compared also via www.edreams.com.

Local travel
After arriving at the airport, one is suggested to travel on using land-line travel services. There are hydrofoils and boat trips as well around the Amalfi Coast but there are no direct connections to Salerno and/or Vietri on public transportation lines (if you feel like taking a boat trip later on, spending a few hours admiring the landscape from the see, please refer to the Hotel Reception where the staff can suggest local boat services).

Trains
From Naples Airport there are bus services (Number 3S) to the Central Train Station about every 30 minutes. The bus journey takes around 15-20 minutes from the airport to the Central Train Station.

From the Central Train Station one can take on a train to Salerno (a city in 4km distance from Vietri sul Mare, the location of the Conference). For the schedules of departing trains please click here and here. The train journey takes about 35-40 minutes, prices range from EUR 9/person.

From Salerno it is suggested to take a taxi to the place of your reserved accommodation.

Buses
From Naples Airport there are direct connections to Salerno (a city in 4km distance from Vietri sul Mare, the location of the Conference). Scheduled buses leave for Salerno in the morning, around noon and in the late afternoon hours – please click here for the details. The bus journey lasts around 75-80 minutes.

From Salerno it is suggested to take a taxi to the place of your reserved accommodation.

Taxi
You may also choose to take a taxi from Naples to Vietri sul Mare, the service fees are between 100-150 EUR/route.
